Update on the Sept. 19 White House proclamation

Stanford resources for those with questions about the recent White House proclamation regarding a $100,000 fee for H-1B visa program participants

If you have questions or concerns about the Sept. 19 White House proclamation regarding the $100,000 fee for participants in the H-1B visa program, or if you are currently traveling and worried about re-entry, please refer to the following resources. Please note that the Sept. 19 proclamation does not apply to student visa holders.

  • The Stanford Traveler Emergency Line (STEL) is available 24/7 for faculty, staff, and students who need emergency assistance while traveling internationally and can be reached at (833) 496-0303
  • Bechtel International Center is available to support students Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and can be reached at (650) 497-5475 or internationalstudents@stanford.edu
  • The Stanford Department of Public Safety is available to support faculty and staff, and the non-emergency number is (650) 329-2413
